6.0/10
My stay was a mix of enjoyment and shortcomings. The vibrant decor created a cheerful atmosphere, and the location near Old Town Scottsdale was extremely convenient for exploring. However, the room showed signs of wear, and I faced issues with noise from the pool area and other guests. While the service was generally good, I did experience some frustrating moments, like unexpected charges for water I didn't consume (which was a hassle to resolve).
Rooms
6.0
The room I stayed in was worn and could use some maintenance. The bedding quality was low, and there was quite a bit of outside noise that interrupted my sleep (especially from traffic and leaf blowers in the morning).
Service
6.0
While some staff were friendly and attentive, I had a frustrating experience when disputing the charges for bottled water that I never received, which undermined my overall impression of their service quality.
Location
8.0
The location is perfect! I loved being able to walk to Old Town Scottsdale for meals and shopping without needing to drive. It's a great spot for exploring everything in the area.
Dining
6.0
Dining options were decent, but I was surprised that coffee wasn’t included in the room. I had to easily mend it with a credit card charge through their catering service.
Facilities
6.0
While the heated pool area was fantastic, some amenities like room service were lacking, and I noted that there wasn't any coffee or water in the room. However, the outdoor spaces were relaxing and welcoming.

5.4/10
My stay at The Monarch had its ups and downs. The location was fantastic, making it easy to explore Old Town Scottsdale, though the hotel itself felt dated and in need of maintenance. I appreciated the quick responses from staff when I had questions, but the overall service could have been friendlier. My room had some issues, from the unappealing decor to the bathroom's confusing shower. I enjoyed the food during brunch, but I also noticed inconsistencies that made the experience underwhelming.
Rooms
5.0
The room was somewhat dingy, with signs of wear and tear like peeling carpet and faded decor. The shower was particularly confusing, often producing lukewarm water instead of hot. A few maintenance issues, like a leaking faucet, detracted from my comfort.
Service
5.0
While some staff were quick to respond to my inquiries through the app, I found overall service lacking. There was little engagement from the front desk staff, and I felt like my needs were not prioritized. This inconsistency left a lot to be desired.
Location
7.0
The hotel's location next to Old Town Scottsdale is a definite highlight. It made walking to nearby shops and restaurants easy, which I really enjoyed. However, noise from the surroundings, like loud music and maintenance workers, disrupted the relaxing atmosphere I hoped for.
Dining
6.0
I had a nice brunch at the hotel that included fresh dishes, and the food was enjoyable. However, the overall dining experience could be improved, especially with more variety and availability throughout the day.
Facilities
5.0
The facilities felt substandard, especially given the high price point. The pool area could use more attention, and it was disappointing to find no staff around when I wanted to grab a drink. Maintenance and updates around the hotel are definitely needed.

My stay at The Saguaro in Scottsdale offered a great mix of pros and cons. The location was fantastic, letting me walk to Old Town for cute shops and restaurants, which I loved. However, the room needed some attention, especially with a few maintenance issues that really stood out. While the pool area was inviting and fun, I couldn’t overlook some other drawbacks like the early closing of the bar and some cleanliness issues at the pool.
Rooms
5.0
The room was spacious but felt a bit lackluster with basic decor and some maintenance issues. The safe was locked, and the patio door didn’t lock, which made me a bit uncomfortable. Plus, I can't believe they only had single-ply toilet paper! I'm used to a bit more when it comes to my stay.
Service
7.0
The staff were friendly and mostly helpful, but I did encounter a lack of information at check-in. I wish someone would’ve provided me with a map or more tips about the area. That said, the check-in process was smooth, which set a nice tone for my stay.
Location
9.0
The location was definitely the highlight for me! I enjoyed being so close to Old Town Scottsdale, making it easy to explore without needing a car. They even offered free bikes and golf carts to get around, which was super convenient.
Dining
6.0
I didn't get to eat at the hotel since I opted for nearby spots, but I heard others enjoyed the on-site restaurant. I'd love to try the food next time, especially since the atmosphere looked fun!
Facilities
6.0
The pool area was decent, with plenty of lounge chairs. It seemed like a good place to hang out, but I was disappointed that the bar closed so early each day, leaving many guests without service when they wanted it. Plus, I spotted some cleanliness issues that needed attention.

My stay at The Monarch was quite disappointing. While the location was excellent, and the pool area was inviting, the condition of the room left much to be desired. The outdated décor and odors made for an uncomfortable experience overall.
Rooms

The room had some neat features for storage, but it felt outdated and a bit cheap. The sliding wooden door to the bathroom didn't close properly, and there was a musty smell that lingered throughout my stay.
Service

The service varied; some staff members were friendly, but overall my experience felt lackluster. I was caught off guard by unexpected charges, like daily porter and housekeeping fees, which added to my frustration.

My stay had its ups and downs. The location was excellent, just a short walk from Old Town Scottsdale, which I appreciated. However, the cleanliness of the room was concerning, with issues like dirty surfaces and a not-so-great bathroom. On the plus side, the staff were friendly and the check-in process was smooth, but the overall experience felt lacking for a boutique hotel.
Rooms
5.0
The room was somewhat modern but had cleanliness issues, including stains on the rug and a dirty bathroom. I also noticed features like a broken bathroom door and inconsistent housekeeping.
Service
5.0
While the staff were nice, the overall service felt hit or miss. At times, they seemed disorganized, especially with housekeeping, which was inconsistent during my stay.
Location

The location is fantastic, right downtown near Old Town Scottsdale. I loved having so many dining and shopping options within walking distance.
Dining
6.0
Dining options on-site were decent, although breakfast could have been better. There were some good dishes, but I felt that basic items like coffee were overlooked.
Facilities
5.0
The pool areas were nice but a bit crowded. There were some amenities available, yet the overall maintenance of the facilities could be improved.
